Dining at Djarawong Lodge B&B
Breakfast & What It Is...
Fruit juice, a choice of either muesli, cornflakes or weet-bix, fruit homemade yoghurt, compulation of fruits, fresh homemade breads, jams, honey and of course vegemite, fresh plunger tea or plunger coffee and any fresh fruit from our orchard that may be in season.
This is served to you on the back terrace overlooking the lagoon pool with the sounds of the birds waking up for the day to keep you company. It is served from 7.00am – 9.00am.
The above Tropical Continental Breakfast is included in the tariff.
If you do wish to also have a hot cooked breakfast, then the following is available to purchase;
- Bacon and eggs, consisting of 2 rashers of bacon and 2 fried eggs with fresh tomato @ $6.00 per person.
- Sausages and eggs, consisting of 2 sausages and 2 fried eggs with fresh tomato @ $5.75 per person.
- Soft scrambled eggs (2), with 2 slices of bacon and fresh tomato @ $6.00 per person.
- Cheese and mushroom omelette (2 eggs), and fresh tomato @ $7.50 per person.
- The Djarawong B&B Big Brekkie, consisting of 2 eggs, fried or scrambled, bacon, sausage, mushroom, fresh tomato and baked beans @ $9.50 per person.
All orders for hot breakfasts should be handed in at the office prior to 6pm the privious night.
Dinner Packs
We have available for purchase dinner packs that you can use in the BBQ area. We supply all the crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, dishwashing liquid etc that you need, but it is your responsibility to do your own washing up after your meal and leave the area clean for breakfast service.
They will be in the fridge waiting for you to cook whenever you feel inclined from 6.00pm.
Meat Eaters BBQ
Consists of a beef sausage, lamb chop, small steak, sliced mushrooms, sliced onions, fresh sliced vegetables for a stir fry with a choice of stir fry sauces, tomato or BBQ sauce and oil to cook it all yourself.
Cost is $15.00 per pack.
Vegetarian BBQ
Consists of fresh vegetables in season.
For instance sliced onions, capsicum, mushrooms, zucchini, cabbage, eggplant, and steamed corn on the cob wrapped in alfoil. All served with a fresh garden salad with balsamic dressing, bread and butter and oil to cook yourself with your choice of teriyaki, oyster or sweet chilli sauce for your cooked vegetables.
Cost is $12.00 per pack.
Fish BBQ
This pack consists of a large piece of blue salmon, which can be cooked in foil or straight on the BBQ, with a mix of stir fry vegetables and a choice of sauces for the stir fry, along with bread and butter.
Cost is $17.00 per pack.
Roast Dinner
***If we are cooking a roast tonight for ourselves, we will advise you that a roast is another dinner option for you.
Consisting of roast lamb, roast potatoes, roast sweet potato, roast pumpkin, steamed vegetables and garden peas, with gravy.
Cost is $15.00 per serve.
Desserts
Something sweet at the end of your meal? We offer a homemade dessert of the day, ask when you arrive. Cost is $6.00 per serve.
All packs need to be ordered with at least by 2pm or options may be more limited.
Our Tropical Fruit Trees at the B&B
There are a great array of fruit trees in our grounds, many exotic that you may not have tasted before. Whilst you are here, we give you the experience of tasting whatever is in season.
We have mango, persimmon, grapefruit, pomello, passionfruit, oranges, santol, abiu, mandarins, Brazilian cherry, lychees, breadfruit, jackfruit, lime, cumquats, Japanese plum, custard apples, avocado, star apples, and we are always adding more, so we have a good selection of tastes for our visitors. We also now have a kaffir lime tree for the curries we love so much!
